Latitude's Scenic Rooftop Deck

Twelve stories above Virginia Square, the rooftop at Latitude offers a rare perspective on Arlington. Situated directly across from the Virginia Square-GMU Metro, the building’s height provides an unobstructed vantage point over the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor that few other apartment buildings in the neighborhood can match.
Here is a breakdown of what the space offers and how it’s laid out.
BBQ Grills & Outdoor Dining
There are several grilling stations throughout the deck, each featuring high-end stainless steel grills integrated into dark-tiled masonry islands. You'll find spaces for both large groups and quick meals, offering a mix of long communal dining tables set under string lights, as well as high-top seating that faces the skyline.
Water and Fire Features
One of the most striking part of the decks is the pair of tiered, black-stone water fountains. A wide concrete path runs between them, creating a cooling effect and a natural sound barrier that helps muffle traffic. For cooler evenings, there is a long, modern fire pit surrounded by plush, low-profile club chairs. It’s positioned under a concrete overhang, providing a bit of weather protection while keeping the view of the surrounding high-rises open.
The "Media Lawn"
On the north side of the deck, the flooring switches from stone pavers to artificial turf, creating a "backyard" feel 12 stories up. A large, weather-resistant TV is mounted to the main building wall, surrounded by lounge seating and Adirondack chairs. This area is also where you’ll find the building’s branded cornhole sets. It’s a flexible space that works for everything from a Saturday afternoon game to a movie night under the stars.
The Perspective
Because Latitude sits at a high point in Virginia Square, the views are genuinely expansive.
To the East: You have a clear line of sight toward the Rosslyn skyline. On a clear day, the Washington Monument and the peaks of the DC skyline are visible on the horizon.
To the West and South: You look directly over the canopy of Quincy Park and the urban bustle of Ballston.
The Neighborhood: You're essentially eye-level with the neighboring mid-rises, giving the deck a private, "above-it-all" feel.
With plenty of room for everyone, this expansive rooftop space blends quiet corners and comfy seating with active settings for socializing and entertaining.
